Gujarat is seeing a heavy turn-out of voters as the state clocked a voting percentage of 47.60 percent till 3 pm on Wednesday.
Vadodara from where BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi is contesting, topped the charts with 68.06 percent polling till 5 pm.
Anand constituency had record a voter turnout of 59.53 per cent till 5 pm.
The constituencies which registered high voter turnout till 1 pm include Sabarkantha (45.92%), Chotta Udaepur (44.31%) and Valsad (42.2%).
The lowest polling has been seen in Gandhinagar constituency (22.99%) from where sitting BJP MP, LK Advani is contesting.
Voting is taking place under extreme hot weather conditions where temperatures in parts of the state have soared about 43 degree celcius. More than 4.05 crore electors will decide the fate of 334 candidates who are contesting from 26 seats of the state, where the main fight is between the Congress and the BJP.
