The Pune police are on the lookout for a doctor after a watchman he had allegedly beaten up on July 27 died at a hospital on Monday morning. Police have identified the deceased as Sarjerao Sathe. They are now hunting for Dr Abhijit Khanvilkar,the MD of a consultancy firm in research and management of health services,which functions out of Winterberry Purple housing society. Sathe worked as a security guard at the society. According to the police complaint,the incident took place around 8 am on July 27. Inspector Rajendra Mullik said,A resident of the society saw Khanvilkar thrashing Sathe after which he fell on a cement block and suffered a head injury. In the night,he was found unconscious in Mundhwa. He was taken to hospital. On Monday morning,Sathe succumbed to his injuries.
