A Three-and-a-half-Year-old boy was found murdered and his body dumped in a sack at Adampur village in Sirsa district on Monday. Preliminary investigations by police has hinted it to be a probable case of sacrificial killing by a tantrik.

On Sunday evening,Paramjit Singh — a labourer — has lodged a complaint with the police alleging that his son Arun had gone missing. He claimed that on Sunday evening,he had gone to the fields with his wife. His daughter Aarjoo and were playing at home. When the couple returned,Arun was missing. Paramjit and his neighbours started looking for the child but failed to trace him anywhere.

On Monday morning,Paramjit’s neighbour saw blood oozing out of a sack kept at the terrace of his house. She raised an alarm. The sack was opened and Arun’s body — bearing injury marks on the face and around his eyes — was found in it.

“The body was found from the roof of a house in Paramjit Singh’s neighbourhood. We have registered a case against unidentified persons. Several people are being questioned and we hope to son arrest the accused,” Sirsa SP Sourabh Singh said.
