The Bihar government Tuesday ordered an inquiry by the cabinet secretary into the reasons BJP president Amit Shah got trapped in the lift at the state guest house here.

Shah was in the lift along with other BJP leaders when it got stuck between two floors Friday night. After being trapped for around 40 minutes, they were finally pulled out by paramilitary personnel, who had to force apart the steel doors. While the state government claimed that the lift stopped because the weight limit had been exceeded, the BJP levelled allegations of conspiracy.
