Banned terrorist outfits such as Babbar Khalsa International are trying to revive Sikh militancy,Centre said Tuesday citing intelligence reports.

“There are reports that some organisations like BKI in the UK are striving to revive Sikh militancy,” Minister of State for Home Affairs R P N Singh told Lok Sabha in a written reply,adding government was keeping a close watch on their activities.

The government has conveyed its concerns to the UK authorities on various occasions including during the recent India-UK Summit held here last month. “Both sides have agreed to enhance cooperation in this regard,” he said.
