Police have not given a clearance certificate to the World Culture Festival, but have got additional force from the Ministry of Home Affairs for the event’s security. At least 2,000 additional force from the Central Armed Police Force will be deployed in a three-ring security layer for the Art of Living Foundation’s three-day event beginning Friday.

The ‘spare’ force was earlier denied by the MHA for the event and police were asked to use their personnel, said a source. With the central forces coming in, around 25,000 personnel will be deployed for the security, added the source.
