A suspended SP MLA from Uttar Pradesh, who faced suspension for supporting an Independent candidate in the panchayat election, has been booked with her supporters under various IPC sections, including one that charges them with an attempt to abduct a Block Development Council (BDC) member.

Ruchiveera, the legislator from Bijnor, is backing an Independent in the election for the BDC head post in Haldor block, while the SP has fielded one Saroj, a BDC member from Darbopur Momin village. The MLA and her supporters are accused of abducting Saroj.
