The Supreme Court Monday refused to quash the prosecution of former Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy in a corruption case and asked him to face investigation.

This is the second case in less than a week in which the JD(S) leader has been directed to be prosecuted.

A bench of Justices Ranjan Gogoi and P C Pant dismissed the petition by Kumaraswamy, requesting the court to quash an FIR registered against him by the Lokayukta police for denotification of land in Bengaluru just a week before relinquishing office in 2007.

“Let the investigation continue. Go and face the probe,” the bench told senior advocate Raju Ramachandran, who represented Kumaraswamy.
