A day after Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit said that bilateral talk process between India and Pakistan was “suspended” and indicated that Pakistan was unlikely to allow National Investigation Agency (NIA) to visit Pakistan in connection with the Pathankot airbase terrorist attack, a special NIA court in Mohali Friday issued arrest warrants against Jaish-e-Mohammad chief Masood Azhar, his brother Abdul Rauf and two others Kashif Jan and Shahid Latif.
While Azhar and Rauf allegedly masterminded the Pathankot airbase terrorist attack, Jan and Latif are the alleged handlers of the terrorists who carried out the attack in the airbase.

The special NIA court of P P Singh at Mohali issued the non-bailable warrants against the four which are said to be “open ended warrants”, meaning thereby that there is no given timeframe for his arrest about which court has to be intimated.
Following the arrest warrants, India would take up the matter with Pakistan seeking the arrest of the four.
