A 25-year-old man was shot dead allegedly by his friend over some monetary dispute Saturday, police said. Superintendent of Police (Rural Area) Rakesh Pandey said that Ankit and his friend Sujit were riding on a motorcycle when they engaged in a heated argument over repayment of the latter’s money.
Thereafter, Sujit fired at Ankit near Ruby enclave of Loni kotwali area following which locals rushed him to GTB hospital where doctors declared him as brought dead. CCTV footage from the area has verified the incident and an FIR has been lodged against the accused by the deceased’s uncle, Ranveer Singh, the SP said. Sujit will be nabbed soon, he said.
