Solar scam accused Saritha S Nair on Tuesday told the judicial commission that Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and his office had a crucial role in the rise and fall of Team Solar Renewable Energy Solutions Private Limited, which she had started with live-in partner Biju Radhakrishnan in 2011. Nair also said that she would submit details about her sexual abuse, including names of those who exploited her, to the court in a sealed cover.

Besides, she also said that she would hand over pen drives and CDs containing evidence of the sexual abuse. Accordingly, the commission directed her to submit the ‘sealed covers’ on February 4. While the commission said it would not publicise the contents inside the sealed covers, it added that persons mentioned by Nair would be given a chance to cross-examine her.

Continuing her attack on the CM Chandy on Tuesday, Nair claimed she had spoken to Chandy several times, on the mobile phones of his personal staff members Tenny Joppen, Jikkumon Jacob and Salim Raj.

She alleged that Chandy asked the Team Solar to come up with big projects and also promised to allot 113 acres of government land in Palakkad.

Nair claimed that Congress legislator Benny Behanan took Rs 5 lakh from her for the party fund in 2011. Besides, she claimed to have paid Rs 2 lakh to another Congress legislator P C Vishnunath in 2012, while he headed the Youth Congress in the state. During cross-examination on Tuesday, Nair repeated the allegation that she had paid Rs 1.90 crore as bribe to Chandy and Rs 40 lakh to Power Minister Aryadan Muhammed.
