Days after the RSS accused the CPM of indulging in “politically-motivated” murders in Kerala, the CPM on Tuesday hit back, saying the Sangh is indulging in violence and terror in north Kerala to sharpen communal polarisation.

“Through such politics of violence and terror, the RSS seeks to sharpen communal polarisation in predominantly Muslim populated areas of northern Kerala to increase its following among the people. These are standard RSS tactics of seeking to expand its influence by unleashing violence and terror… Every single judicial commission of inquiry into communal riots all over the country since Independence has severely indicted the RSS and its role in perpetuating communal polarisation through violence and terror,” the CPM alleged.

The party also accused the RSS of killing five CPM workers and injuring 300, besides attacking 35 party offices and destroying 80 houses of party workers ever since the LDF government under Pinarayi Vijayan took charge in the state in May.

“While it is clear that it is the RSS which is mounting large-scale attacks against the CPM all over Kerala, it is fallaciously seeking to portray itself as the victim,” the party added.
