IAF Jaguar aircraft crashes over Pokhran, both pilots ejected safely

A Jaguar aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF) crashed over Pokhran area of Rajasthan on Monday. Both pilots in the aircraft were ejected safely.

The aircraft was on routine training sortie when the incident occurred in the area which is near the Indo-Pak border, defence spokesperson Lt Col Manish Ojha said.

A Court of Inquiry has been ordered, he said.

Jaguar aircraft is a deep strike fighter plane capable of carrying nuclear payload.
