A prime prosecution witness in the sensational Hummer case on Monday turned hostile. The trail in the case began at a sessions court in Thrissur.
As per the prosecution, beedi baron Muhammad Nisham had deliberately ploughed his Hummer SUV into security guard Chandrabose at Shoba city in Thrissur in February this year.
The prime prosecution witness, Anoop, told the court he hadn’t seen that Chandrabose being attacked by Nisham.

Anoop had been a security guard at the Shoba City along with Chandrabose. Anoop on Monday told court that he had given a statement to the police against Nisham under police duress.
Chandrabose died later in hospital. Subsequently, the police slapped murder charges against Nisham, who was later detained under the Anti-Goonda Act.
Earlier this month, the Supreme Court had rejected his bail plea. The court said the case showed the rich was getting egocentric.
