Samajwadi Party MP Amar Singh today alleged that BJP was opposing the movie ‘Udta Punjab’ as it would “expose” the fact that the party was involved in narcotics smuggling in the state.

He also claimed that “narcotics smuggling racket” was behind the infiltration and subsequent attack on a military base there, in an apparent reference to the Pathankot Air Force base assault in January.

“Now a days there is a discussion on the movie Udta Punjab. I am not making any direct allegation myself but the Court has said that narcotics was consumed in Punjab and freedom of expression should not be interfered with,” Singh said.
