At least seven persons, including a DU student, were put under preventive detention in the wake of suspected ruckus at Indira Gandhi National Centre for Arts.
“There were seven persons detained from outside the IGNCA when they were found entering into the premises carrying posters and banners. Some of them were also carrying some drums,” said a police officer, adding that it appeared they might try to stage a protest inside.

They were taken to the Parliament Street police station and are being questioned. One of them is identified as a SFI student, said the officer.
There is a program organised by Jashn-e-Rekhta to promote Urdu language and are also attended by some Pakistani artist.
