The country is all set to celebrate its 79th Independence Day on August 15 with the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. Citizens across the country can join the campaign by hoisting the national flag at home, taking a photo with it, and uploading the image. This campaign was launched in 2022 under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav initiative and will run till August 15, alongside activities such as the Tiranga Cyclothon rallies in several cities.

Here’s how to take part in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign

1) Log in to the website harghartiranga.com.

2) Fill out the personal details such as your name, phone number and state.

3) Hoist the national flag at your home and take a photo with it.

4) Upload this photo on official campaign website: harghartiranga.com.

4) Upon successful submission, each participant will receive a digital ‘I am a Har Ghar Tiranga Ambassador’ badge and a certificate as a recognition of their participation.

Responding to a post from the Ministry of Culture about the participation in the campaign, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote on X: “Glad to see #HarGharTiranga receiving phenomenal participation across India. This shows the deep patriotic spirit that unites our people and their unwavering pride in the Tricolour. Do keep sharing photos and selfies on harghartiranga.com.”
