Gujarat govt allots Rs 140 crore for insfrastructure of SPIPA

SPIPA Director Vipul Mitra in a media statement said that SPIPA had received administrative approval for spending Rs 122 crore on different projects of the institute.

The state government has allotted a sum of Rs 140 crores for infrastructure upgradation of the Sardar Patel Institute of Public Administration (SPIPA), to bring it at par with top institutes involved in similar activities across the country.

SPIPA Director Vipul Mitra in a media statement said that SPIPA had received administrative approval for spending Rs 122 crore on different projects of the institute.

The funds, he said, would primarily be utilised for constructing new hostel buildings for boys and girls within SPIPA campus. He said that new buildings would also be added to the regional training centres at Vadodara, Rajkot and Mahesana.

Mitra said that SPIPA was also in the process of setting up a district training centre in each district and connect it with the main campus in Ahmedabad through distance learning.
