A fire broke out in the server room of the systems department on the first floor of the Times of India building in central Delhi’s ITO Sunday afternoon. A total of 31 fire tenders have reached Times of India building at Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg. The fire spread to the second floor as well, where the Economic Times office is. Reportedly, a short circuit led to the fire. No casualties have been reported.
“31 fire engines are operating. Fire fighting operations are on. No casualties are reported,” said Chief Fire Officer (West) Vipin Kental.
This is the second fire in nine months. In May, 2016, a fire had broken out on the fourth floor of the building.
