Faiz Ahmed Kidwai appointed DGCA DG; Ashutosh Agnihotri is new FCI chairman

The government on Friday appointed Faiz Ahmed Kidwai, a 1996-batch IAS officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre, as the director general in the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
An order of this effect was issued by the Department of Personnel and Training on Friday.

Currently posted as additional secretary, Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Kidwai’s appointment has been approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC).
The ACC has also approved the appointment of Ashutosh Agnihotri, a 1999-batch IAS officer of the Assam-Meghalaya cadre, as the chairman and managing director of the Food Corporation of India. Agnihotri is currently posted as additional secretary, Department of Home, Ministry of Home Affairs.

Shubha Thakur, a Central Secretariat Service officer, has been shifted out from the agriculture ministry and has been appointed as additional secretary, Inter State Council Secretariat, Ministry of Home Affairs.
