A woman died of her injuries today after being attacked by her husband in Shadiyabad area here for trying to stop him from consuming alcohol.

Victim Kiran Devi (40),who was seriously injured after being hit with a brick by her husband Gullu Ram,succumbed to her injuries at a hospital in Varanasi,police said.

The couple had reportedly entered into an argument overthe issue after which Gullu Ram attacked his wife,they said,adding that hunt is on to nab the absconding accused.
