SC rejects Nupur plea with warning,trial hearing today

Nupur and her husband Rajesh Talwar are facing trial for the 2008 murder of their daughter Arushi and domestic help Hemraj.

Dismissing dentist Nupur Talwars review petition challenging summons issued by a Special CBI court in the Arushi murder case,the Supreme Court today warned her of exemplary costs if she were to initiate any uncalled for frivolous proceedings hereafter.

Nupur and her husband Rajesh Talwar are facing trial for the 2008 murder of their daughter Arushi and domestic help Hemraj. Hearing of the case is to be taken up tomorrow by the trial court in Ghaziabad.

Fourteen-year-old Arushi was found dead,with her throat slit,at her Noida residence on the night of May 15-16,2008 while Hemrajs body was recovered from the terrace of the house the next day. Nupur is now in judicial custody while Rajesh is out on bail.

We have found no merit in the review petition and are not inclined to interfere with the order of the trial court, Justices A K Patnaik and J S Khehar said while dismissing the review petition.
