Siwan Police have lodged a case against former RJD Siwan MP Mohammed Sahabuddin and his son Osama in connection with murder of a key witness in an acid attack case involving the controversial MP.

Rajiv Roshan, a BJP activist and key witness in murder of his brothers Girij and Satish in August 2004, was killed by assailants in Siwan town on Monday evening. His father Chanda Babu alleged that Mohammed Sahabuddin’s son Osama had led the group of attackers.

Babu said the killing of Roshan was directly linked with some more witnesses recently recording their statement in acid attack case in which Babu’s two sons were allegedly attacked with acid before they were killed.

Siwan SP Vivek Kumar said the police raided the premises of former Siwan MP. “We have constituted a team to probe the role of former MP and his son in Roshan’s murder”, said the SP.
