Delhi police on Tuesday recorded statement of a woman who alleged that she was raped by a Station House Officer and other policemen in the national capital.
The woman approached officials of crime branch,which is probing the allegations,at around 10 pm,a senior police official said.
“She was appearing on various channels but was avoiding the crime branch. She has reported to the crime branch officials just now and her statement is being recorded,” the official said.
The woman had claimed that she was raped by a Station House Officer and four other policemen in a police station in south-west Delhi last night. Her claims triggered protests in Inderpuri,where she resides,with a large crowd attacking and ransacking the police station.
