Hotel owner beaten,booked for denying free food to policemen

Four policemen were shunted out and an inquiry was orderedfor allegedly beating up a restaurant owner.

Four policemen were today shunted out and an inquiry was ordered against them for allegedly beating up a restaurant owner,who denied to supply free food to them in Shahibabad area here.

Sahibabad police post in-charge SI Seema and three constables Padam Singh,Khajan Singh and Khursheed were transfered to police lines,Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Raghubir Lal said.

Madan,owner of a local ‘dhaba’ had alleged that the policemen had asked him to supply food on a regular basis for free,and when he denied to do so,he was beaten and implicated in a false case yesterday,Lal said.

He met the SSP and filed complaint against the police persons.

SSP at first instance shunted them out from police post to police line and ordered an inquiry against them.
