CBI to seek arrest warrant against Malkhan

The CBI today said it would seek an arrest warrant against Rajasthan Congress MLA Malkhan Singh after he failed to appear before it for questioning in connection with the Bhanwari Devi abduction case.

“Malkhan did not appear for interrogation even today. We will now seek his arrest warrant from court on Monday,” CBI officials said.

Malkhan,through his counsel,had sought an exemption from questioning by moving an application in a CBI court recently.

He had sought exemption on health grounds up to December 16.

Meanwhile,the agency quizzed Malkhan’s son Mahendra at the Circuit House here and a CBI team enquired about his father’s whereabouts at his residence in Ratanada locality.
