Additional Advocate General Haryana,Sanjeev Sura,and his wife were shot dead allegedly by his younger brother near their residence here,police said today.
Sanjeev (36) and Kapil were residing in the same building on different floors.
According to police,Kapil last night asked his brother to come down from his first floor house for some work. He took Sanjeev out on the street and allegedly shot at him.
On hearing the firing,Sanjeevs wife,Sunita (32),rushed to the spot but she was also fired at,police said.
The couple were taken to hospital by neighbours,but doctors declared them brought dead,they added.
Ankur along with his wife and two children escaped after the incident,police said.
Police suspect that a property dispute could be behind the murders.
A case has been registered under section 302 (murder) and the Arms Act,but no arrest has been made so far,they said.
