Central Railway Mega Block on September 28: Central Railway (CR) will regulate the operations of several trains on Sunday, September 28, due to a scheduled mega block.
While one boy survived with serious injuries, four died on the way to the hospital or shortly after reaching there.

Central Railway Mega Block Mumbai
In a statement, Dr. Swapnil Nila, Chief Public Relations Officer, Central Railway said: “Mumbai Division will operate Mega Block on 5th and 6th lines on Main line between Vidyavihar and Thane stations and UP and Down Trans-Harbour line between Thane and Vashi/Nerul stations for carrying out various engineering and maintenance works on Sunday, 28.09.2025.”

The main line block will be in place on the 5th and 6th lines between Vidyavihar and Thane stations from 08:00 hrs to 13:30 hrs on September 28.

Repercussions on train running due to the block are as under:
Diversion of DOWN Mail/Express trains
Following DOWN Mail/Express trains will be diverted on DOWN fast line at Vidyavihar station, will be re-diverted at Thane on 5th line and handed over 10 to 15 mins late during block period.

Train no 11061 LTT-Jaynagar Pawan Express
Train no 16345 LTT-Tiruvanathapuram Netravati Express
Following UP Mail/Express trains (CSMT bound) will be diverted on UP Fast line at Thane and will arrive destination 10 to 15 mins late during block period.
Following UP Mail/Express (LTT bound) trains will be diverted on UP Fast line at Thane, will be re-diverted on 6th line at Vidyavihar station and will arrive destination 10 to 15 mins late during block period.

UP and DN Trans-Harbour Line between Thane and Vashi/Nerul stations from 11.10 hrs to 16.10 hrs
UP & DN Trans-Harbour line services will remain suspended between Vashi / Nerul and Thane stations during the block period.
DN line services for Vashi / Nerul / Panvel leaving Thane from 10.35 hrs to 16.07 hrs and UP line services for Thane leaving Panvel / Nerul / Vashi from 10.25 hrs to 16.09 hrs will remain cancelled.
