Amrit Bharat Station Scheme: Redevelopment of Jaipur railway station in progress, to handle about 1.75 lakh passengers daily

“To connect the main entrance and the second entrance of the station, a 108 x 95 meter air concourse (total area 10260 square meters) is being constructed, the structural work of which has been completed and fabrication work is being done and the work of girder launching is proposed to be done soon,” the CPRO said.

Modernisation of Jaipur Railway Station

The work of redevelopment of Jaipur station is being done at a cost of about Rs 717 crore. This railway station is being prepared as per the capacity of about 1 lakh 75 thousand passengers per day.

Jaipur Railway Station Redevelopment Latest Update

Two new foot over bridges (FOBs) are being constructed at Jaipur railway station, in which the 6 meter wide foot over bridge of Dausa side has been started for passengers and the structural work of the 6 meter wide foot over bridge of Sikar side has been completed and fabrication work is in progress.

Apart from this, the work of the basement structure at the main entrance of Jaipur station is in progress and the foundation work of the building is going on.

Jaipur Station Redevelopment

The redeveloped Jaipur railway station will have arrival-departure lobby, security check area with baggage scanner, help desk area, departure hall, access control, waiting room, retail stalls, modular toilets, stairs, lifts, escalators, etc.

There will be provision of 30 lifts and 18 escalators for smooth movement at the station. Divyangjan friendly facilities will also be made available at the station.

Jaipur Station to Feature Green Building Initiatives

Green building-ased facilities have been provided in the station redevelopment to reduce energy consumption which is being built with renewable energy along with resources like waste disposal, rain water harvesting system etc. A solar power plant of about 2000 KW capacity will be installed at the station.
