IGP for Bastar Range, Sundarraj P said, “The deaths of senior Maoist cadres — Basava Raju and CC members Sudhakar, Chalapathi, Modem Balakrishna, Uday, Sahadev, and Vivek Manjhi — in 2025 left the organisation in complete disarray. The deaths of Kosa Dada and Raju Dada in an encounter on September 22 further weakened this banned and illegal organisation.”

“The banned CPI (Maoist) has suffered serious and irreparable losses in recent times, leaving the organisation fragmented, leaderless and directionless. What once presented itself as a united front is now grappling with internal strife and serious crises,” the IGP said.
