This wheelchair-bound dog’s inspiring rescue story will melt your heart

All set to be euthanised, this dog not only got a new lease of life, but also a wheelchair.

Daisy was born with a congenital deformity in her legs and was abandoned at the age of 2 months. A volunteer from A Home 4Ever Rescue, a non-profit corporation, who was looking for a special needs dog to adopt, spotted her in the nick of time, as she was scheduled to be euthanized.

She not only got a new life, she also got a wheelchair. On May 16 this year, she turned 5, and is happier than ever. Before her adoption, she was surviving without a wheelchair and had learnt to walk and run without any support.

After consultation with a vet, it was decided that for her long-term health, it was important to put her on wheels to protect her spine from too much stress.

The wheelchair has liberated Daisy as she doesn’t have to be carried around.

According to her owner, “Daisy has a sweet nature, spunky attitude, and underbite smile”. He also says – “In my eyes, Daisy is a strong girl and I don’t pity her disability”.

What are waiting for, adopt now!
