
The National Testing Agency (NTA) on September 11 released the provisional answer keys for the University Grants Commission (UGC)-NET 2024. The candidates who appeared for the test will be able to view the provisional answer key on the official UGC NET websites – ugcnet.nta.ac.in and ugcnet.ntaonline.
The exams commenced between August 21 to September 4 across the nation. Candidates unsatisfied with the answer key can challenge the same by paying a fee of Rs 200 per question. The objection window will close on September 13.
The UGC NET exam was conducted for 83 different subjects including Hindi, English, French, Spanish, sociology, visual arts, mass communication and journalism and more. The question paper was in English and Hindi medium only except for the language papers and each question carried two marks. There was no negative marking for any wrong attempts.
In addition to the UGC NET 2024 provisional answer keys for the exams held on August 27, 28, 29 and 30 and September 2, 3, 4 and 5, the testing agency has also released the question paper with recorded responses.
The scorecard along with the result will be issued next. Candidate’s name, roll number, father’s name, mother’s name, category, application number, exam qualifying status will be there in the scorecard. Candidates must keep this in mind that there will be no re-evaluation or re-checking of the result, therefore, any correspondence in this regard will not be entertained.
The UGC NET is conducted twice every year. It is a qualifying exam for Junior Research Fellowships (JRF), Assistant Professorships, and PhD program admissions. Earlier this year the exam was conducted on June 18 which was cancelled post ‘leak allegations’.
