UGC NET June 2025 Admit Card, City Intimation Slip Highlights: The National Testing Agency (NTA) on June 19 has released the UGC NET June 2025 city intimation slips. With exams set to be held from June 25, students can now check their city slips. Candidates can download the UGC NET 2025 June exam city slips at ugcnet.nta.ac.in. Candidates will have to log in to the website through their application numbers and date of birth to download the UGC NET city intimation slips. NTA will release the UGC NET June 2025 admit cards next.
The exam city intimation slips is released to facilitate the students in making travel plans towards the exam cities.

The result of those candidates who appear from the centre other than the one allotted to them or allow another candidate/ person to write the exam on his behalf will be cancelled. No plea will be entertained in this regard.

UGC NET June 2025 exam will be held for two papers – paper 1 and paper 2.
The questions in Paper I intends to assess the teaching/ research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, reading comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate. There will be 50 questions in Paper 1 and will carry 100 marks total.
Paper 2 is based on the subject selected by the candidate and will assess domain knowledge. Paper 2 will be held for 200 marks and will comprise 100 questions. All the questions in paper 1 and paper 2 will be compulsory and will have to be completed in three hours without any break.

Candidates will have to check their photo, signature and QR code on the city intimation after downloading it from the ugcnet.nta.ac.in website. If either the photo, signature or the QR code is missing, NTA has asked to re-download it.

Candidates must bring the following documents to the UGC NET 2025 June exam centre
- Printed copy of Admit Card downloaded from NTA website.
- One passport size photograph same as uploaded on the online application form for pasting on the specific space in the attendance sheet at centre during the examination. Any one of the authorised photo IDs (must be original, valid and non- expired) – PAN card/ Driving License/Passport/ Aadhaar Card (with photograph)/ Aadhaar). The name on the photo identification must match the name as shown on the UGC NET June 2025 hall ticket.
- PwD certificate issued by the Competent Authority, if claiming the relaxation under PwD category
(a) To answer a question, the candidate needs to choose one option as the correct option.
(b) Each question carries 02 (two) marks.
(c) For each correct response, the candidate will get 02 (two) marks.
(d) There is no negative marking for incorrect response.
(e) No marks will be given for questions un-answered/un-attempted/marked for Review.
(f) If a question is found to be incorrect/ambiguous or has multiple correct answers, only those candidates who have attempted the question and chosen one of the correct answers would be given the credit.
(g) If a question is found to be incorrect and the Question is dropped, then two marks (+2) will be awarded to only to those candidates who have attempted the question. The reason could be due to human error or technical error. Since, there is no negative marking, candidate needs to choose one most appropriate option as correct answer.
The medium of the UGC NET 2025 June exam question paper will be in English and Hindi only, except language papers. Candidates are required to answer in the medium as per the option exercised in the application form. In case of any ambiguity in translation or construction of a question in the exam, its English version will be treated as final and the decision of NTA shall be final in this regard.

UGC NET is held to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for ‘award of Junior Research Fellowship and appointment as Assistant Professor’, ‘appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to PhD.’ and ‘admission to PhD only’ in Indian universities and colleges. The candidates qualifying under the ‘appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to PhD’ category will be eligible for appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to PhD but not for the award of JRF. The candidates qualifying under the ‘admission to PhD only’ category will be eligible for admission to PhD only but not for the award of JRF and/or appointment as Assistant Professor.
