
The Directorate of General Education, Tamil Nadu (TNDGE) has released the complete schedule for the Tamil Nadu SSLC (Class 10) and Plus Two (Class 12) public examinations for the year 2026. The Class 10 board exams will be conducted from March 11 to April 6, 2026, while the Class 12 exams will take place between March 2 and March 26, 2026. The timetable has been published through an official press release, and students can access it on the board’s website — dge.tn.gov.in.
The TN DGE SSLC and Plus Two exams for 2026 will be held at designated centres across the state, which will be intimated to students in due course. Students appearing for TN SSLC Classes 10, TN HSE Class 11 and TN HSE Class 12 can check their subject-wise dates and prepare according to the schedule announced.

The TN HSE first year exams for those who will take the arrear exams will be held from March 3 to 27, 2026. The practical exams will be conducted between February 16 to 21 and the results will tentatively be declared on May 20.

For both SSLC and Higher Secondary examinations, the exam timing will be from 10 am to 1.15 pm. Students will be given 10 minutes of reading time from 10 am to 10.10 am, followed by a five-minute verification period from 10.10 am to 10.15 am. The writing duration will begin at 10.15 am and continue until 1.15 pm.
The Directorate has advised students to make use of this timetable to plan their study schedule efficiently and reach their exam centres well in advance on the day of the examination.
