Over 12 lakh students registered for the RBSE Class 8 board exams 2025, which were held from March 20 to April 2. Last year, the overall pass percentage of RBSE Class 8 stood at 95.72 per cent. The RBSE results for the government school was 94.54 per cent, while for private schools it was 97.38 per cent.
To pass the RBSE Class 8 board exams, students must score at least 33% marks in each subject and in aggregate. If a student scores below 33% in more than two subjects, they will be considered as failed and may need to repeat the academic year.
The results issued by the board included students’ subject-wise marks, overall grades, and pass/fail status, determining promotion to the next academic class.

This translated to a slightly higher overall pass percentage of 95.72% compared to the broader figure of 94.50%. The performance by gender showed that girls continued to outperform boys, with a pass percentage of 96.39% for girls and 95.14% for boys.
In the previous year, the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) conducted the Class 8 board exams with over 13 lakh students registered.
