The pass percentage in PSEB Class 10 exam is 95.61 per cent. A total of 2,77,746 students appeared in the Class 10 examination, out of which 2,65,548 passed.
Among students from Punjab government schools, a total of 1,84,984 students appeared and 1,76,605 passed, recording a pass percentage of 95.47 per cent. From non-government schools, 73,649 students appeared, and 71,412 passed, giving a pass percentage of 96.96 per cent. In aided schools, 19,113 students appeared and 17,531 passed, taking the pass percentage to 91.72 per cent.
In urban areas, 97,524 students appeared and 92,368 passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 94.71 per cent. While, in the rural areas, 1,80,222 students appeared and 1,73,180 passed. The PSEB Class 10 result 2025 pass rate in rural areas is 96.09 per cent.
There were a total of four transgender students, with only two of them passing, taking the pass rate to 50 per cent.
A total of 2,77,746 candidates appeared for the Class 10 examination, out of which 2,65,548 passed, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 95.61 per cent.
Among the candidates, 1,31,166 were girls, and 1,27,029 of them passed, recording a pass percentage of 96.85 per cent.
Out of 1,46,576 boys who appeared, 1,38,517 passed, achieving a pass percentage of 94.50 per cent.

All three toppers in PSEB Class 10 results are girls. The toppers have scored a perfect hundred percent. The three PSEB matric 2025 toppers are Akshnoor Kaur from Faridkot, Ratinderdeep Kaur from Muktsar and Arshdeep Kaur from Malerkotla.

District-wise Amritsar was identified as the best performing district with 99.24% pass percentage last year while Fatehgarh Sahib had the lowest pass percentage (94.51%) in PSEB Class 10 matric result last year.

The pass percentrage of urban area was 96.60% as a total of 94,270 candidates (out of 97,586) passed the PSEB exams last year. Similarly, the pass percentage of rural area was 97.58% as 1,79,078 students, out of 1,83,512, passed the PSEB exams in 2024.
Last year, 1,86,908 students from government schools appeared for the exam, out of which 1,81,908 students passed, taking the pass percentage to 97.32%. A total of 72,423 out of 73,896 students passed from private schools, taking the pass percentage to 98.01%. In aided schools, a total of 20,294 appeared and 19,017 students passed, which took the pass percentage to 93.71%.

As per the data released by the state board, in 2024, over 297,048 students appeared for the Punjab Board Class 10 exam, conducted at over 3,808 exam centers. The girls once again performed better than the boys. The overall pass percentage for girls was 98.11 per cent, whereas boys had a percentage of 96.47 per cent. A total of 394 students failed to pass the class 10 exam, which is 0.14 per cent of the total students.
The overall pass percentage last year was 97.24 per cent. The pass percentage last year dropped slightly from 2023. In 2023, a total of 2,81,327 students appeared for Punjab Board class 10 exams 2023, of which 2,74,378 passed, recording an overall pass percentage of 97.54 per cent.
In 2023, the overall pass percentage was two per cent lower than 2022. As many as 653 students had failed to clear the exam and 6,171 had to re-appear.
