CBSE board exams: PM Modi urges students to appear for exams in ‘stress-free manner’

Over 30.96 lakh students have registered to appear for CBSE board exams this year, of which 18,89,878 candidates will be appearing for class 10 and 12,06,893 students for class 12 exams.

Meanwhile, HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhiryal Nishank has also been tweeting tips based on PM’s book and advice to score one’s best potential in board exams.

Tip 5: Don’t dwell over your exam!

PM also holds annual interactions with students called ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ (discussion over exams). Encouraging students not be afraid of failures he had said, ,”When ISRO launched the moon mission, I was told not to go for Chandrayaan-2’s landing as there was no guarntee of success. When I went to attend the launch, I was restless about the failure of the Chandrayaan 2, so I met the scientists to motivate them the next morning.’ He further added, ‘Motivation, demotivation are very common. Everyone goes through these feelings. But remember that every failure is a step towards success.’

This year, CBSE has made several changes in the Board exams from introducing two level mathematics examination to giving more international choice and introducing objective type questions. Check the list of changes here
