The pass percentage of students who appeared for Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination (Class 12) in the Mumbai division is 83.85 per cent. The city was ranked fourth among the nine divisions in the state with Pune scoring highest 87.88. In Mumbai division, girls outperformed boys, as has been the trend for many years. While the pass percentage of girls in Mumbai was 88.04 per cent, that of boys was 80.10 per cent.

A total of 5486 candidates have score above 90 percent in Maharashtra. Students will shortly be able to download their marks. The Maharashtra Board also conducted the SSC examination from March 1 to March 24. Over 17.51 lakh students had appeared for the SSC examinations.
Science faculty recorded a pass percentage of 95.85. Pass percentage for commerce stood at 89.50 and MCVC stream recorded 82.18 pass percentage. Students wrote exams for 210 subjects of which 56 subjects had 100 percent results. A total of 5379 handicapped students had appeared for the exams out of which 5374 have passed bringing the pass percentage to 91.78.
