Karnataka SSLC 10th Result 2023: The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board on May 8 declared the Class 10 or SSLC results. Students who appeared for the exam can check the result at the official SSLC websites – sslc.karnataka.gov.in or karresults.nic.in.

Overall, the pass percentage was recorded at 83 per cent, which is a dip from last year’s 85 per cent. However, Ramachandran R, chairman of KSEAB, said this is essentially due to the increased level of difficulty this year. Meanwhile, the grace marks have been increased to 10 per cent from 5 per cent last year, due to this, as many as 59,246 students have benefited from 10 per cent grace marks.

Additionally, this year, 87.76 per cent regular students have cleared the SSLC exams, and 7.48 per cent were private students.

This year, four students scored 625/625 in the KSEEB SSLC 10th results, namely Bhoomika Pai from Bengaluru, Yashas Gowda from Chikkabalapur, Anupama Hireholi from Belagavi and Bhimangouda Patil from Vijayapura.

In the 2023 SSLC results, rural area students scored better than urban area students. The overall pass percentage of the rural area students was recorded at 87 per cent (as compared to 87.38 per cent in 2022), and urban area students reported 79.62 per cent (as compared to 82.04 per cent in 2022).

This year, 61,003 students scored A+ (90-100%); 1,47,634 students scored A (80-89%); 1,75,489 students scored B+ (70-79%) and 19,301 students scored C (35-49%).

– The results will be sent to students on the same mobile number.

The students of rural area have once again performed better than urban areas, as the former achieved 8 per cent higher overall pass percentage. Interestingly, 1517 govt schools scored 100 per cent results, up from 1462 in 2022, and none of the government schools got zero percent results this year.

This year, the SSLC exam was conducted from March 31 and April 15. Last year, the overall pass percentage was 85.63. The overall pass percentage for girls was 92.44 per cent while for boys it was 86.34 per cent.
