This time, a total of 2,79,339 students from General category appeared, out of which 2,64,732 students (94.77%) have cleared the exams this time. In the Scheduled Caste (SC) category, 17,582 students appeared, 16,850 (95.83%) cleared the exams.
A total of 49,038 students appeared from the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category and 46,599 (95.02%) cleared the exams. Additionally, 57,326 students appeared and 55,904 (97.51%) students cleared from the Backward Class (BC) category. Most BW Class (MBC) had 24,009 registrations, out of which 23,474 (97.77%) students clared the exams.

Kodarma has emerged as the best performing district with 97.02%, followed by Hazaribagh at 92.720%, Chatra at 92%, Palamu at 91.10%, and Giridh at 5th rank with 86.43%. Pakur was named as the worst performing district with 48.32%.
This year, the overall pass percentage of Class 10 was recorded at 95.38 per cent. A toral of 427,294 students had appeared for the exam, out of which 4,07,559 passed.

Official websites are facing server issues due to the heavy traffic
As per the minimum marks criteria, students need to obtain a minimum of 33 per cent marks to be declared passed in the matric examination and get promoted to Class 11 and 33 per cent in Class 12 exams to be declared pass.
Whether or not the Jharkhand Board will conduct compartment exams this time is yet to be announced.
As per JAC, Class 10, 11, 12 marksheets which will be issued online at jac.nic.in should be considered as provisional.

Students had to pay an application fee of Rs 80. Those who wished to appear for one exam paid a fee of Rs 100 and those who wished to appear for two or more paid Rs 180. This was also applicable for class 12. For class 10, the exam fee was Rs 180. Both classes 10 and 12 students had to pay an additional fee of Rs 30 and marks obtaining a fee of Rs 90, each. Further, a late fee for class 10 was Rs 250 and for class 12 was Rs 300.
In 2020, 59.72 per cent passed in Science exam of Class 12.
Last year, from the general category a total of 261, 672 students appeared in which 95.6% passed; among the Scheduled Caste students, out of 15,673 who appeared, a total of 95.34% of students passed; among the Scheduled Tribe students, out of 42694 who appeared, 96.13% of students cleared their exams; for backward castes and most backwards castes, 49,167 and 21, 892 students appeared, 97.16% and 97.63% passed respectively.
The JAC said that for its intermediate science examination a total of 64976 students appeared, out of which 59902 students passed–92.19%.
Koderma Deputy Commissioner Aditya Ranjan said that the district administration had started Project RAIL (Regular Assessment for Improved Learning) which bore fruit. “Post covid school education in government schools had taken a backseat and there were a lot of apprehensions about the performance and output of the students in exams. A team was created to set question papers for conducting weekly tests for class 9 and 12, in around 60 schools in Koderma. The Pre Board exam was also taken professionally for the first time ever across 78 schools in the district,” he said.
Among the 24 districts in Jharkhand, Koderma district topped in both 10th, 12th (science) exams with 98.12 and 97.64 pass percentage respectively, as per JAC.
As per the JAC, 95.71% of boys and 95.50% of girls who appeared passed the Class 10 Jharkhand Board examination last year.

Mudassir Alam, 15, who was killed allegedly in the police firing during the June 10 violence in Ranchi got 66.66 per cent marks in Class 10 state board examination.
Alam was among the 225,854 students who bagged the first division out of 373,892 students who cleared the Class 10 examination, as per the data released by Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC).
Last year, an overall pass percentage of 91.19 per cent was recorded. A total of 3.73 lakh students had passed the matric board exams.
In 2021, a total number of 4,33,571 students registered for the Jharkhand board examination. The overall passing percentage was 95.93 per cent out of which 95.96 percent of girls and 95.90 per cent of boys were successfully passed and promoted to Higher secondary.
This year, Class 10 recorded an overall pass percentage of 91.19 per cent. The pass percentage of class 12 was 92.25 per cent.

To successully pass the JAC Class 12 Science results, students will have to score a minimum of 33 per cent in each subject. However, if students fail to score the minimum in a couple of subjects, they will be allowed to appear for compartmental exams.
