Step 7: After clicking your desired option, for Mathematics / Physics / Chemistry for Paper 1 (BE /BTech), Mathematics / Aptitude Test for Paper 2A (BArch), and Mathematics /Aptitude Test / Planning for Paper 2B (BPlanning), scroll down and ‘save your claim’ and move to the next screen.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Tuesday said that IITs are aspiration hubs for the youth of the country and their students must aspire to become job creators rather than job seekers. At the 55th IIT Council meeting in Bhubaneswar, Pradhan said that IITs shall primarily be a vehicle for public welfare. He said that the time has come to ensure that IITs become primary catalysts in the multi-fold development of the country. IITs should resolve societal problems at a scaleable and replicate commercially viable solutions.

According to the IIT Delhi's annual report since the academic year 2017-18, the number of student admitted to the BTech Textile programme via JEE Advanced has dropped from 104 (against 105 sanctioned seats) to 95 (against 116 sanctioned seats) in 2021-22.

The Union Education Ministry on April 6 asserted that it is not considering any proposal for a one-time relaxation in criteria for Joint Entrance Examination Main 2023. The ministry has been receiving representations from a few students who claimed to have faced difficulties in the JEE (Main) 2022 exams, Union Minister of State for Education Subhas Sarkar informed Lok Sabha in a written response.
“After due verification, the affected candidates were allowed to appear in re-examinations held on June 29, 2022 (Shift-2) and June 30, 2022 (Shift-1) for Session-1 and on July 30, 2022 (Shift-1) for Session-2. Moreover, the candidates who have passed the Class 12 or equivalent examination in 2021, 2022, or appearing in 2023 can appear in JEE (Main) – 2023 examination.

The Delhi government will offer free Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) coaching to the students of Delhi Model Virtual School (DMVS), Delhi Education Minister Atishi said.

NEP 2020 suggests that students should not be subjected to multiple entrance tests. Due to numerous tests, students will face stress and financial difficulties. Therefore, a strong case exists for ‘One nation, one exam’ for admissions in different disciplines.
To have such a national test, much groundwork must be done. An idea on this is floated for discussion among the stakeholders. Whenever such a test is introduced, it will be known to the students at least two years before so that they are mentally ready. For now, they need to focus on NEET, JEE, or CUET, depending on where they want to study.
