The IBPS Clerk Preliminary Examination 2025 was held for a total of 100 marks, comprising objective-type questions across three sections: English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability. Candidates were allotted a time limit of one hour to complete the test. All aspirants are advised to regularly check the official IBPS website (ibps.in) for the latest updates and important notifications regarding the results.

In the IBPS exam, normalisation is a statistical adjustment process used to ensure fairness when the exam is conducted in multiple shifts with varying difficulty levels. The method employed by IBPS is known as equipercentile equating. This technique aligns scores from different shifts by comparing percentile ranks instead of raw marks, effectively equalising candidates’ performances across different test versions.

Candidates should note that the scores obtained in the IBPS Clerk mains exam will be used for the final selection. Those who qualify in the mains exam will be provisionally assigned to one of the public sector banks across India based on merit and preference.
