CSBC Bihar Police Constable Recruitment 2025: The Central Selection Board of Constables (CSBC), Bihar, has released the notification for its 2025 recruitment drive to fill 4,128 vacancies across multiple police constable roles. The openings include positions for Prohibition Constables, Jail Warders, and Mobile Squad Constables.

Candidates applying for the prohibition constable or mobile squad constable positions must have completed intermediate (10+2) education or possess a Maulvi certificate from the Bihar Madrasa Board, a Shastri certificate with English, or an Acharya certificate without English issued by the Bihar Sanskrit Board, or hold any other equivalent qualification recognised by the state government.
For the jail warder position, candidates are required to have completed intermediate (10+2) or an equivalent qualification from any board recognised.
Step 1: Applicants must first register on the official website, csbc.bihar.gov.in.
Step 2: After that, they must provide details such as their name, nationality, mobile number, email ID, Bihar state domicile, reservation category, gender, and date of birth.
Step 3: Upon logging in again, candidates will be asked to give their consent for the application form and will need to upload their photograph and signature.
Step 4: Check the form once again and pay the fee amount.
Step 5: Take a printout of the application and keep the reciept safe.
A total of 1,603 vacancies are open for the position of Alcohol Prohibition Constable, alongside 2,417 openings for Chamberlain, both offering a Level 3 pay scale ranging from Rs 21,700 to Rs 69,100. Additionally, 108 posts for Mobile Squad Constable are available, carrying a Level 2 pay scale.
The selection process begins with a written examination designed to assess candidates’ knowledge in subjects including Hindi, English, mathematics, social science, science, general knowledge, and current affairs.
This two-hour, OMR-based test consists of 100 questions, each carrying one mark, with a difficulty level set at the Class 10 level. Candidates who pass this initial stage will proceed to the physical efficiency test (PET), which evaluates their abilities in running, high jump, and shot put. Success in all components of the PET is mandatory for eligibility for the post.
The final stage involves document verification, where candidates must present valid identification, a driving license specifically for Mobile Squad Constable applicants, their Intermediate examination passing certificate, mark sheets, and other required documents.
