CLAT 2025 Updates: The Consortium of National Law Universities (Consortium of NLUs) conducted the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025 on December 1 from 2 to 4 pm (2 to 4:40 pm for PwD candidates).
As per CNLUs, the exam was conducted seamlessly across 141 centers in 25 states and 4 Union Territories. “The exam witnessed an unprecedented participation rate, with 96.36% of Undergraduate applicants and 92.13% of Postgraduate applicants appearing for the test,” the official notification stated.
CLAT is held for admission to five-year integrated LLB and LLM programmes at 22 National Law Universities (NLUs) in India. The CLAT UG and CLAT PG will be held for 120 questions. Candidates will have two hours to complete the test.

According to the notification, candidates whose test centre is at Government College, Rajgarh Road, Hisar will have to re-download a revised CLAT admit card to appear for the examination. The new centre for such candidates is CSS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar.

Altering, tearing, marking or annotating the question booklet in a manner not permitted is considered misconduct. Underlining passages are allowed but not underlining, marking, ticking, or circling of answers in the booklet.
Communicating with other students, whether verbally, through gestures, or by exchanging notes, during the examination will be considered a violation.
Carrying any unauthorized materials, such as notes, written papers, or electronic devices, into the exam hall is strictly forbidden, a statement on the code of conduct for sandidates in the examination hall released today said.

The CLAT 2025 exam will have 120 questions of one mark each, and there will be negative marking of 0.25 mark for each wrong answer.
Candidates are advised to focus on CLAT sections that carry the most weightage of marks, such as legal reasoning and general knowledge, which together account for 50 per cent of the syllabus. After the end of the exam, answer keys will be released prior to the announcement of the result. After the declaration of the CLAT result 2025, candidates will have to register for admissions and counselling for UG and PG law courses. The CLAT UG 2025 and CLAT PG 2025 will consist of 120 questions.
By the end of the test, candidates must ensure that the invigilator signs in the space provided on the OMR response sheet. Candidates should also sign in the space provided on the OMR response sheet. This should be done before detaching the Candidate’s Copy. Utmost care must be taken while tearing the sheet to ensure that the timing marks and barcode are not damaged, a statement on the CLAT 2025 test day instructions said.

– In case, if the candidate’s photograph is not clear on the admit card, the candidates will have to bring a self-attested photograph
– Candidate’s government ID proof. A candidate will have to bring a clear, original photo ID issued by the Government.
– PwD/ SAP candidates shall carry their original disability certificate to the test centre
CLAT 2025 will be held between 2 pm and 4 pm and for PwD candidates, 2 to 4.40 pm. Candidates are asked to reach the exam centre before 1.30 pm.
