CBSE Class 10 Hindi Paper: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the Class 10 Hindi examination today, (February 28). Here are some of the tips which students need to know before attempting the examination to ace the exam with flying colours.
Prose Section
While answering questions from the prose section, students need to carefully read the significant events, characters, and dialogues. Underline key sentences as they often form the basis for grammar and interpretation questions.
Poetry Section
Understand the core sentiment, poet’s thoughts, and key lines of each poem. Mention the context and reference correctly while writing explanations. Keep the answers simple, clear, and concise for better readability.
Formal Writing
Follow the prescribed format in notice writing, letter writing, and email writing. Questions on application letters, complaint letters, and editorial letters are frequently asked, so memorize their correct formats.
Grammar
Topics like compound words, sentence transformation, idioms, and phrase structures are essential. Also, prepare for grammar-related questions based on language usage in the lessons.
Revision of Important Lessons
It is crucial to revise key lessons before the exam. Read each chapter carefully and understand the key lines, themes, characters, dialogues, and the author’s perspective. This will help in answering comprehension, summary, and grammar-based questions effectively.
Focus on Poetry
Poems play a significant role in the Hindi exam. Understand the deeper meaning and message of each poem. Identify the poet’s intent and memorize key lines. Practice writing interpretations regularly to ensure a smooth response during the exam.
Practice Grammar
Prepare well for topics like compound words (Samās), sentence transformation, idioms, proverbs, and phrase structure. Many grammar-based questions are derived from the lessons, so studying them thoroughly is important. Memorize rules and practice writing to ensure clear and error-free answers.
Improve Writing Skills
To score well in the writing section, understand the correct format of letter writing, paragraph writing, notice writing, advertisement writing, and short story writing. Pay attention to word limits and present answers in an organized manner. Use new words and idioms in creative writing to make responses more impactful.
Solve Previous Year’s Question Papers
Solving past question papers is the best way to understand the exam pattern. It helps in identifying frequently asked topics and expected answer formats.
Answer Unseen Passages Correctly: Read carefully and base your answers on the given text.
Memorize Definitions: Understand and remember grammar rules and definitions. Try to connect the question with similar topics from the textbook or class discussions.
Manage Time Well: Solve easier questions first and allocate time for difficult ones accordingly. Keep the answer short and to the point. Avoid extra details and focus on what is asked.
