Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) has cancelled the Class 12 business studies exam after it found that the question paper was the same as last year.
Around 30,000 students from the Commerce stream took the test, held on March 23. The cancellation, announced Sunday, came after the board received complaints about the paper on its helpline number, board officials said.
An investigation has now been ordered and the department plans to take action against the teacher who set the paper. “We get four to five sets of question papers ready and then choose anyone amongst them. A teacher did not put in the effort and sent last year’s question paper to the exam. We will soon take disciplinary action against the teacher who made this deliberate error,” RBSE secretary Kailash Chand Sharma.
New exam dates will be announced soon, although Sharma said it would take time to get a new question paper sent and sent to exam centres. But sources said that the RBSE plans to hold the exam before April 9, 2025 — the last date of the board exam.
