The scrutiny process for the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) Class 12 intermediate examination will begin from April 3, 2019. Students who have appeared for the intermediate state board exams and are not satisfied with their results can apply for scrutiny of their answer sheets.

The scrutiny process for the Bihar board Class 12 results will begin from April 3, 2019. The candidates can apply for scrutiny till April 12, 2019.
This year only 0.01 per cent results remain pending.

This year, a total of 79.76 per cent students passed the Intermediate exams, the results of which was declared on Saturday, March 30.
A total of 4,25,500 students passed in Arts stream touching a pass percentage of 76.53 per cent, Commerce- 59,153 (93.02 per cent), Science- 5,35,110 (81.02 per cent).
In case a student fails in one subject only by not more than 8 per cent marks or in two subjects by not more than 4 per cent marks in each, he/she will be given the marks he/she is short of. If someone has obtained 75 per cent marks in aggregate but has failed in one subject only by not more then 10 per cent marks and cannot be allowed to pass under any other regulation, will be declared to have passed

Bihar Education Minister Krishna Nandan Prasad Verma, along with BSEB Chairman Anand Kishore and top officials of the Education Department, announced the results at a press conference. As compared to overall pass percentage of 35.24 per cent last year, this year’s pass percentage was 52.95 per cent.

BSEB 12th results 2019: This year, the overall pass percentage in Bihr board inter examinations are expected to touch 60 per cent. As per sources, the inter results will witness a huge improvement from the last year.
Arond 17,258 students secured first division in Commerce stream, drafting a pass percentage of 33.98. 25,109 students grabbed second division, and 3,989 students hold third division. 46,381 students cleared the examination successfully which is 91.32 percent. 29,637 students male students cleared the examination successfully, while 16,744 students became successful in the examination.

In order to pass the intermediate exam, a candidate must obtain 30 per cent of total marks in the theory portion of each subject and 40 per cent of total marks in practical of each subject.
This year, the board has prepared 10 sets of question papers, and the students will get question papers of different sets varies from (A to J). “As the question papers were tuned to 50 per cent objective from last year, the board has decided to give various sets to prevent cheating inside the exam centre and also to prevent the paper leak.”
To check malpractice, the Bihar Board has adopted some stringent measures including a ban on footwear inside exam centres. Despite the winter chill, the students will have to remove their socks, shoes when they sit for Class 12 examinations which begin from February.
Speaking to indianexpress.com, Rajeev Dwivedi, PRO, BSEB said, “To prevent cheating in the examinations, the board has formed a special team of invigilators. So for every 25 candidates, one invigilator has been assigned. The students are restricted to enter the examination centre with shoes and socks.”

The toppers for the three streams were Nidhi Sinha (Commerce), Kusum Kumari (Arts) and Kalpana Kumari (Science).

This year, Bihar Board had made significant changes to the exam pattern which included introduction of 50 per cent objective questions. For objective questions, students were provided with a separate OMR sheet. The board had also introduced coded answer sheets this year to avoid any malpractice during the evaluation process.
As per report, last year at least 114 students were caught cheating and two impersonators were arrested during the intermediate examination.
Around 162 students were expelled from giving examinations after they were caught with cheating materials during the examinations in the recently concluded matriculation (Class 10) examinations in Bihar. Another 55 persons were arrested for impersonating as candidates, mentioned BSEB chairman Anand Kishore.
Bihar board 12th results 2019: Unlike every year, the education minister of Bihar will not announce the results of Class 12 examinations. As the EC model code of conduct has been issued, the education minister Krishna Nandan Prasad Verma will not release the Intermediate results.

The toppers will be given a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh each, along with a laptop and a kindle e-reader. The second and third topper will get a cash prize of Rs 75,000 and Rs 50,000 each and the fourth and fifth rank holder from each stream will get Rs 15,000 and a laptop each. This year, around 12 lakh students had appeared for the Bihar intermediate Class 12 exams.
The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB), this year, directed students to sit in exams while wearing slippers or flip-flops and not shoes along with socks.
