Azim Premji Foundation Scholarship 2025 Apply Online: The Azim Premji Foundation will soon close the online application window for the Azim Premji Scholarship, an initiative aimed at supporting up to 2.5 lakh girl students from government schools across 18 states to pursue higher education. The last date to submit applications is September 30, 2025, 11:59 PM.
As per the official notification, selected students will receive a scholarship of Rs 30,000 per year. The amount will be awarded to girls who have passed both Class 10 and 12 from government schools and have secured admission into a recognised higher education institution (HEI). Eligible HEIs include all government institutions and select private institutions. The scholarship will continue for the full duration of the undergraduate degree or diploma programme, provided the student continues her studies without interruption.
To qualify for the Azim Premji Scholarship 2025, candidates must fulfil all the following conditions:
They must have passed Class 10 from a government school. They must have also completed Class 12 from a government school.
Both Class 10 and Class 12 should have been completed in one of the following states:
Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Puducherry, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Telangana, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, or Uttarakhand.
In addition, candidates should have taken admission in the first year (academic session 2025–26) as a regular student in a recognised undergraduate degree or diploma programme of 2–5 years, offered by a government or bona fide private college or university.
The application and disbursal of the scholarship will follow a structured four-step process. First, applicants need to submit their forms online through the official portal. After submission, applications will be reviewed against the eligibility criteria. Once verified, the scholarship amount will be disbursed in two instalments of Rs 15,000 each. To continue receiving the scholarship in subsequent years, students will be required to apply for renewal.
For the 2024 cohort, the process began in September 2024, with reviews between October 2024 and March 2025. The first disbursement started in March 2025, and renewal opened in August 2025.
For the 2025 cohort, the first round of applications is open in September 2025, followed by a second round in January 2026. Application reviews will take place between October 2025 and March 2026 for Round 1, and from February to July 2026 for Round 2. The disbursement of funds will start from December 2025 for Round 1 and April 2026 for Round 2. Renewals for continued support will follow in August 2026 (Round 1) and December 2026 (Round 2).
