
The Directorate of Higher Education, Assam has extended the admission schedule for all undergraduate, postgraduate, and five-year integrated courses owing to the flood situation in the state.
In a notification, the directorate said, “On account of the flood situation in the state and as per requests from the Universities and Colleges authorities to extend the timeline for admission, as directed by the Government of Assam in the Higher Education Department, the extended timeline in the Assam State Higher Education Portal for admission to FYUPG, FYIPG, and FYIMP are as follows.”
According to the modified timelines, for non-CUET admissions, till June 23 colleges can take up students’ application for admission. On June 24 and 25, the competent authority will prepare and publish the second merit list followed by three days of admission rounds till June 28. The spot admission will be done from June 29 to July 1.
On the other hand for CUET admissions, students will get time from July 1 to July 2 to select programmes, followed by correction window (July 3- 4), and academic screening by the authority (July 5- July 8). The first preparation and the publication of the first merit list will be done on July 9 followed by second merit list on July 12, third merit list on July 16 and then spot admissions on July 17 and 18.
The final round of spot admission will be done on July 29 and July 31.
