After an X user posted a photograph of a young Kiren Rijiju, complimenting his looks, the Parliamentary Affairs Minister on Sunday responded with a montage of images from his younger days. It showed, among other things, Rijiju riding a bike (image above), reading a magazine in a garden, drinking Campa Cola, sitting on a window sill and holding a mic in front of a crowd. In the background ran the Lata Mangeshkar song “Guzra hua zamana, aata nahin dobara”.
Birthday Event
On Sunday, Union Minister Bhupender Yadav and RSS leader Dattatreya Hosabale attended an event to celebrate the 18th birthday of the son of Kumar Kapileshwar Singh, who belongs to the family of the erstwhile king of Darbhanga. An audio clip played at the event said the Darbhanga rulers had donated 1.17 lakh acres for the Bhoodan movement and `5 lakh to help set up Banaras Hindu University.
